Focus On Our Staff – Meet Bonnie!
This blog is an easy one for me, not because I’ve known Bonnie for very long, but because she’s just a genuinely easy person to like and be around. She always has a smile on her face and heads out to each deposition or trial assignment with an air of positivity that is rare in society today. As court reporters, we do hear a lot of ugly, icky stuff each day, but Bonnie manages to keep her perspective, knowing that it’s just her job, and continues being happy and positive.
Bonnie owned Carpenter Reporting from 1996 until November of 2017 when she and I met for the first time. Considering we’d both been in the reporting field for many decades, we’d just not been in the same circles or associations. We met for breakfast one morning and knew almost instantly that we were meant to work together. Bonnie was ready to begin focusing more on reporting versus running a firm and I, on the other hand, have long since decided that the management side is more for me. It seemed to be a match made in heaven and now, four months later, I know we made the right decision.
Bonnie displays her creative side by sewing, quilting, and knitting. She and her husband, Marcus, enjoy biking in their spare time. She spends as much time with Zach, Cara, and Quinn, her adult children, as she can and as their schedules allow. Her son, Zach lives in Minot, North Dakota with his two daughters (the loves of Bonnie’s life); Cara is a dietician at an assisted living facility in Loveland; and her daughter, Quinn, just returned from Costa Rica while studying abroad. Quinn is currently preparing to apply to medical school.
Please join me and the rest of our staff in welcoming Bonnie, and the clients she’s served for so many years, into our firm.
